Recline (re*klīn") , transitive verb

[Latin reclinare; pref. re- re- + clinare to lean, incline. See Incline, Lean to incline.]

To cause or permit to lean, incline, rest, etc.; to place in a recumbent position; as, to recline the head on the hand.
