Fight (fīt) , intransitive verb

[Old English fihten, fehten, Anglo-Saxon feohtan; akin to Dutch vechten, Old High German fehtan, German fechten, Swedish fakta, Danish fegte, and perh. to English fist; compare Latin pugnare to fight, pugnus fist.]
