Tubicolae , noun, plural

[Latin tubus a tube + colere to inhabit.]

(Zoology) A division of annelids including those which construct, and habitually live in, tubes. The head or anterior segments usually bear gills and cirri. Called also Sedentaria, and Capitibranchiata. See Serpula, and Sabella.
