Triphylite

[Prefix tri- + Greek {not transcribed} a family, class. So called in allusion to its containing three phosphates.]

(Mineralogy) A mineral of a grayish-green or bluish color, consisting of the phosphates of iron, manganese, and lithia.

A salmon-colored or clove-brown variety containing but little iron is known as lithiophilite.
