[Prefix tri-+ Greek de`katos tenth + English ethylene.]

(Chemistry) A hydrocarbon, C13H26, of the ethylene series, corresponding to tridecane, and obtained from Burmah petroleum as a light colorless liquid; -- called also tridecylene, and tridecene.
