Tenacious , adjective
[Latin tenax, -acis, from tenere to hold. See Tenable, and compare Tenace.]

Holding fast, or inclined to hold fast; inclined to retain what is in possession; as, men tenacious of their just rights.

Apt to retain; retentive; as, a tenacious memory.
