Polychata

Polychata , noun, plural

[New Latin, from Greek poly`s many + {not transcribed} hair.]

(Zoology) One of the two principal groups of Chatopoda. It includes those that have prominent parapodia and fascicles of seta. See Illust. under Parapodia.
