Piperazine , noun

[Piperidine + azote + -ine.]

(Chemistry) A crystalline substance, (C2H4NH)2, formed by action of ammonia on ethylene bromide, by reduction of pyrazine, etc. It is a strong base, and is used as a remedy for gout.
