(Chemistry) Pertaining to, or designating, a substance obtained from certain fatty substances, and subsequently shown to be a mixture of suberic and adipic acids.
(b)
(Chemistry) Designating the acid proper (C5H10(CO2H)2) which is obtained from camphoric acid.
