Phocodontia

Phocodontia (fō`ko*don"shi*ȧ) , noun, plural

[New Latin, from Greek fw`kh a seal + 'odoy`s, 'odo`ntos, a tooth.]

(Zoology) A group of extinct carnivorous whales. Their teeth had compressed and serrated crowns. It includes Squalodon and allied genera.
