Ophiomorpha

(Zoology) An order of tailless amphibians having a slender, wormlike body with regular annulations, and usually with minute scales imbedded in the skin. The limbs are rudimentary or lacking. It includes the caecilians. Called also Gymnophiona and Ophidobatrachia.
