(Botany) The wild olive tree (Olea Europea, var. sylvestris).
(b)
(Botany) Any species of the genus Elaeagus. See Eleagnus. The small silvery berries of the common species (Elaeagnus hortensis) are called Trebizond dates, and are made into cakes by the Arabs.
