Leucadendron (lū`kȧ*den"dron) , noun

[New Latin, from Greek leyko`s white + de`ndron tree.]

(Botany) A genus of evergreen shrubs from the Cape of Good Hope, having handsome foliage. Leucadendron argenteum is the silverboom of the colonists.
