Ipomoic (ip`o*mē"ik) , adjective

(Chemistry) Pertaining to, or designating, an acid obtained by the oxidation of convolvulin (obtained from jalap, the tubers of Ipomoa purga), and identical in most of its properties with sebacic acid.
