Homoptera , noun, plural
[New Latin, from Greek {not transcribed} the same, like + {not transcribed} wing.]
(Zoology) A suborder of Hemiptera, in which both pairs of wings are similar in texture, and do not overlap when folded, as in the cicada. See Hemiptera.
