[Latin emunctorium a pair of snuffers, from emungere, emunctum, to blow the nose, hence, to wipe, cleanse; e out + mungere to blow the nose: compare French émonctoire, formerly spelled also émonctoire.]

(Physiology) Any organ or part of the body (as the kidneys, skin, etc.,) which serves to carry off excrementitious or waste matter.
