Daze (dāz) , transitive verb
[Old English dasen, prob. from Icelandic dasask to become weary, a reflexive verb; compare Swedish dasa to lie idle, and OD. daesen to be foolish, insane, daes, dwaes, Dutch dwaas, foolish, insane, Anglo-Saxon dwas, dysig, stupid. r71. Compare Dizzy, Doze.]
