[Anglo-Saxon cumb a liquid measure, perh. from Late Latin cumba boat, tomb of stone, from Greek {not transcribed} hollow of a vessel, cup, boat, but compare German kumpf bowl.]

A dry measure of four bushels, or half a quarter.
