Bramble (bram"b'l) , noun

(Botany) Any plant of the genus Rubus, including the raspberry and blackberry. Hence: Any rough, prickly shrub.
The thorny brambles, and embracing bushes.
2.
(Zoology) The brambling or bramble finch.
