Agami (ag"ȧ*mē) , noun

[French agami, from the native name.]

(Zoology) A South American bird (Psophia crepitans), allied to the cranes, and easily domesticated; -- called also the gold-breasted trumpeter. Its body is about the size of the pheasant. See Trumpeter.
